Lidwine Meffo

Ms. Lidwine Meffo is an international philanthropist, an independent United Nations Consultant, Humanitarian and a Global Public Speaker. Ms. Meffo has operated and conducted  over (50) fifty conferences globally for the last four  years. In addition to Ms. Meffo’s campaign to service, includes being an author.  She has  published  four books. Significantly, she is the recipient of  two master’s degrees. Her first degree was a Master of Business Administration specializing in  Project Management and her second graduate degree-Master of Science with a concentration in Psychology from Montclair and Devry Universities respectively.

Ms. Meffo is currently preparing for her PhD in Leadership and Management. She is an author of four substantial publications ” Life Among Others”,  ‘The Power of Anger’, The Smiling Foundation Children’s Book” and ” Relationships Start with God”. She is the founder of the Smiling Institute a Referential School specializing in development and  skills straining in Cameroon. She is one of the frontline former advisors at  the permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations. This work was solely regard to the mission of advocacy and education.

  In 2014, Ms. Meffo founded “ The Smiling Foundation”, NGO where the fundamental goal and dedication continue to illustrate her intention. This work enthusiastically continues to  impact on youth via the United Nations. She definitely  created a Global Non-profit Organization, which provides sustainable sanitation and clean drinking water;  and coached local farmers on progress for agriculture in the most remote areas. Evidentially, it promotes Human Rights and Humanitarian Action in the fields of education, health,  agriculture and women equality in the African Continent, supporting United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Ms. Meffo is currently engaged in Library Construction projects in 22 African countries. Her project “Education for All” has been crucial for The Smiling foundation as it opened partnerships in Tunisia, Morocco,  Senegal, Nigeria and Cameroon to meet her objectives. He advocacy work included the development and most was successfully established programs are:

  • Meffo’s dedication to her mission included workshops in Tunisia with Union Des Leaders Africans (ULA); young girls and skills acquisitions in rural areas in Nigeria ,
  • Women Empowerment Initiatives in Marrakech; the distribution of basic necessities and sanitation products to 12000 women from the grassroots present at workshops in Cameroon, building three (3) wells in rural areas of Cameroon, distributing Health kits to women in Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Madagascar.

These components of accomplishments illustrate that they have been her call working with several world leaders and officials to discuss necessary actions to be taken for the betterment of Africa and the contribution of the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. With the notable announcements gives credence that The Smiling Foundation has touched nearly 200,000 children and women  and over 500,000 books were distributed across Africa.

Her overall vision for the economic and sustainable development of Africa in particular has greatly increased while working with the United Nations Organization. Ms. Meffo has  achieved  so much in her early adult life.

To this end, Ms. Meffo  has worked as a social advocate where she was sent all over the world to educate young girls and women on domestic violence and female emancipation. Needless to say, that these life accomplishments, were attained during her most tumultuous years where she has delivered keynote speeches at many conferences  in local libraries, social services events , schools and also at the United Nations. She has received a litany of awards from the New York City Social Workers Department, the Cameroon Women’s group of New York, African Hope, United Nations, International Sickle Cell Foundation and Northern Manhattan Perinatal Partnership.

Over the same time,  Ms. Meffo was recruited as an independent  campaign manager for President Obama second term in Philadelphia which turned to be a success. She joined a few months later the campaign of the presidential candidate as a “grassroots activist” of young democrats for New Jersey. She  helped to raise funds and spread messages on social media.

In the heart of all mentioned, she appreciates traveling 91 countries and counting) around the world where she created strong bonds with heads of states and continues to empower women and young girls. In New York since 2000 , She also opened  her fashion salon named Meffashion and two others fashion salons in Cameroon  and Senegal.
